Wow I’ve been so busy lately, I’ve suddenly found I’m sitting on a mountain of pictures ready to post, it’s going to take me a few weeks to get them all ready!
I’m quite proud of these shots in particular, I’ve been hanging onto these for a few months now, because I’ve just pulled them off a wall, from my first exhibition, as part of a uni assignment. I’m breaking my exhibition display into 3 parts here, because there is so many! I took around 1200 photos especially for the exhibit, plus some of my previous work you’ve seen here.
I had many different ideas for my display, but the one that I have run with, is trying to depict beauty in a city we all live, work and play in. Something I try to do with my photography in general I think!
With this in mind, I spent a few nights, mornings and afternoons, wandering the city, looking for streetscapes, architecture and anything else that caught my eye.
As usual, what I first set out for wasn’t exactly what I came up with, but I couldn’t be happier with what I turned out! First part of my mini series is a collection of my night-time work
My exhibition title sheet. I actually borrowed the title from an earlier Lensflare post, but i felt it fitted perfectly, also I borrowed some shots from that set, along with my Vivid and Harbourside shoots, and Field trip, which was sort of like a practice session for this!
I wish I had this much fun with all my uni classes! At this point, (before I bore anyone!) I want to say thanks to all the people who helped me with this work, this has been the biggest project I’ve attempted yet. To my photo buddies who wandered the city with me for hours with cameras, my family for their support, Lisa (lecturer, for all her help giving me direction with this project) and all my friends (innocent bystanders) for their help and patience! This was my first exhibit, but hopefully not my last!
